5.5in White FlowerBox Design
Share
Pink carries the connotation of grace and elegance, as well as sweetness and poetic romance. Today we’re having fun with light pinks hues by complementing them with white foraged sticks in our large 5.5” white FlowerBox cube.
To start, pop open your FlowerBox cube, making sure the bottom locks. Then cut your foam to size and soak in water and flower food. Add to the box. Next cut white or bleached sticks to your desired height. We are using snapdragons here, so we recommend aiming for 24" if possible, for this design.
Insert your twigs in a line, then add the Medolino extenders. We learned this technique from floral artist Hitomi Gilliam. For more information on this technique and Hitomi's work, find her online portfolio or find her teaching a class! Her designs and inspiring, and had a huge influence on our own spring arrangements.
Once you’ve created the effect you like with the Medolino extenders, simply add your flowers. Use the sticks and Medolini as a support for the long stems. To finish the design and cover the foam, carpet the base with beautiful greenish-pink roses.
The finished design has an ethereal feel. We love the light spring colors and dynamic line of the Medolino extenders. The White FlowerBox cube is the perfect base for this type of design; like the perfect canvas, it fades away while still accentuating the fullness of your creative design.
Now it’s your turn! Send me your ideas at Travis@FlowerBox.com. And as always, have a great flowering day!
